In recent months, Proximus NXT’s Business ONE offering has undergone several notable developments. True to its promise of tailored support, the company continues to adapt its solution to the concrete realities of Luxembourg’s small and medium-sized enterprises. Let’s take a look at these new features and the growing challenges related to data security with Mariella Corcuera and Cédric Mauny, respectively Business ONE Product Manager and Strategic Advisor in Cybersecurity for Proximus NXT.

An Enriched Solution

Business ONE is an all-in-one solution designed to simplify the daily operations of Luxembourg’s small and medium enterprises. It bundles all essential services into a single offer: reliable internet connection, telephony, IT security, collaborative tools, and technical support. With five modular packages, ranging from a basic offer to a premium solution, it adapts to the real needs of each organization, whether they are in the launch, growth, or transformation phase.
“Our goal is clear: to enable SMEs to focus on their core business without worrying about the complexity of their IT infrastructure. Our centralized approach avoids juggling multiple providers while ensuring personalized support,” explains Mariella Corcuera.

Among the latest developments is the integration of Microsoft 365, specifically designed for the SME market. Three profiles have been created to meet their needs. Another new feature is the launch of on-site support services. “Now, a company can call upon an IT specialist on-site, for a full or half day, for example, to provide technical follow-up. It’s a concrete service that ensures everything is running smoothly or solves specific problems,” says Mariella Corcuera.

To complete this comprehensive approach, the offer also includes three models of laptops covering different price ranges as well as complementary peripherals such as monitors, docking stations, keyboards, and mice. Existing options continue to evolve: telephony services now include all the tools needed for full digital collaboration through the Webex offering: videoconferencing, virtual workgroups, and more.

Constant Support

Behind the technology is the quality of support that wins users over.
“What our clients appreciate the most is our presence at every step. They tell us they truly feel supported from the moment they sign the contract until the service is fully activated. It is this close relationship that is our strength,” highlights Mariella Corcuera.
Business ONE has already convinced key players. Since December 2023, the solution has supported Global Facilities, a subsidiary of the Encevo group, in modernizing its digital tools. When relocating from Esch-sur-Alzette to Leudelange, the company took advantage of this transition to upgrade its connectivity, telephony, and collaboration solutions.
The major challenge was to ensure smooth communication between different sites while consolidating essential services such as connectivity, telephony, and IT security. Business ONE provided a turnkey solution to meet all these needs. A high-performance Wi-Fi network was deployed throughout all offices, guaranteeing a secure connection. Telephony was fully migrated to a cloud solution via Teams Voice, allowing employees to be reachable on mobile or computer, wherever they are. Finally, collaboration tools such as interactive screens and a meeting room management system were installed to boost team productivity both on-site and remotely. Thanks to this digital transformation, Global Facilities improved operational efficiency and team collaboration while benefiting from a more modern and flexible infrastructure.

Integrated Security

For too long, cybersecurity was seen as a necessity only for large companies. However, in an era of accelerating digital transformation, SMEs can no longer afford to stay on the sidelines. To remain competitive, they must digitalize their processes, which entails an imperative that has become unavoidable: securing their systems, networks, and especially their data. Today, this is a sine qua non condition for their sustainability.
“There was a time when small businesses could hope to stay under attackers’ radar. But today, that illusion no longer holds. Threats such as ransomware, cyberattacks, information leaks, or phishing attempts spare no one, not even SMEs,” explains Cédric Mauny, Strategic Advisor Cybersecurity.
It is understandable that SMEs mainly focus their resources on their core activities — production, services, commerce — and less on ICT management. It is equally understandable that they may lack time, resources, or internal skills to anticipate digital risks. Yet the pressure is mounting: the explosion of online obligations, the rise of collaborative tools, and the arrival of AI-powered solutions place data at the center of all activity, making data protection an essential requirement for all SMEs by extension.

“Business ONE integrates cybersecurity natively, without burdening the user experience. Protection of equipment, networks, and communications is included by default,” he continues.
The challenge is not only technical but also human: security must not become a constraint to be effective. The offer was designed from the start with layers of protection meant to defend the company without disrupting users’ daily routines. “That’s how humans are: if they perceive a barrier, they will try to circumvent it,” he explains. Business ONE avoids this pitfall by relying on a balanced approach. Protections are in place, where needed, without degrading the user experience. Security runs quietly in the background, allowing SMEs to focus on their core business.
