5G beyond borders

Tango and Proximus NXT become the first Luxembourg operators to offer their customers 5G beyond the country’s borders.

True to their commitment to making new technologies accessible to everyone, Tango and Proximus NXT announced the launch of their 5G network in Luxembourg on 23 October. Now, with the aim of further facilitating mobility, Tango and Proximus NXT customers will be able to benefit from 5G when travelling in Belgium and the Netherlands. Since 16 December, it has been possible to enjoy very high-speed connectivity across the BENELUX thanks to agreements signed with Proximus for Belgium and Vodafone for the Netherlands.

This is, of course, only the beginning of greater 5G availability across Europe, with new countries set to be added to the list from the beginning of the year.
To maintain this momentum and quickly cover the largest population centres, the 5G network rollout will also continue from early 2021, first in the major cities in southern Luxembourg and then across the rest of the country.
