MTD Solution as a Service!

Proximus NXT Luxembourg offers an MTD (Mobile Threat Defense) solution delivered as a service through a subscription model, specifically designed for SMEs — a first in Luxembourg.

While larger organizations have already deployed EMM (Enterprise Mobile Management) solutions, smaller companies often lack the resources to do so and therefore provide limited protection for their mobile tools. By offering an MTD (Mobile Threat Defense) solution as a subscription-based service, Proximus NXT delivers a comprehensive mobile threat detection service.

As companies continue to embrace “mobile-first” strategies — and employees increasingly use smartphones and tablets for professional tasks — the need for mobile threat protection continues to grow.
“Although mobile devices are now a key component of corporate IT ecosystems, most companies do not protect them sufficiently, especially considering the value of the corporate assets they store and process,” explains Hugues Stiernon.

Detecting and defending against mobile threats is not a simple task. To be effective, the technology must protect applications, networks, and support both iOS and Android platforms.

According to a recent report by Gartner, malware targeting mobile devices was expected to account for one-third of all malicious programs identified by standard testing by 2019, a sharp increase compared to the previous 7.5%. By 2020, 30% of enterprises were expected to deploy an MTD solution, compared to less than 10% at the time.

Proximus NXT’s MTD service is available on the Tango network. It protects against threats targeting smartphone operating systems without impacting performance or user experience. Key features include:

  • blocking “zero-day” malware,
  • phishing detection across all installed applications,
  • preventing infected devices from transmitting confidential data to botnets,
  • restricting access to corporate applications and data,
  • automatically mitigating threats without user or management platform intervention.

The service is powered by Check Point Software Technologies technology, recognized by analysts as one of the most comprehensive mobile defense solutions on the market, offering one of the industry’s highest threat-blocking rates.

For larger organizations already equipped with a UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) solution — formerly known as MDM — and looking to strengthen their cybersecurity arsenal, Proximus NXT also provides integration services through project-based engagements.

“Companies must adopt a comprehensive and consistent threat prevention technology across their entire mobile fleet to ensure these devices do not become the weakest link in their security defenses,” concludes Hugues Stiernon.
“With our MTD service, organizations now have the means to detect malware and deploy comprehensive protection against the most dangerous attacks, significantly reducing the risk of costly security breaches.”
